I really enjoy visiting the Leonard J. Buck (Facebook Page) garden located at 11 Layton Rd, Far Hills, NJ 07931. It is beautifully laid out with several different amazing paths and open areas as well as a nice stream and pond.
When you visit I advise you wear boots if you can. One area seems to pretty much stay wet.
Flora
It is hard to describe or capture how beautifully they have landscaped and the variety of flowers and flowering tress here. The spring is just unbelievable but it is also beautiful as the blooms come and go from month to month.
Fauna
This is a fantastic place to see many different pollinators. There is also an abundance of water and therefore the top guns of the insect world … dragonflies and damselflies. I am pretty sure that somewhere I also have photos of chipmunks but I can’t find them right now.
One of the coolest things to shoot there is the hummingbird moth. They are very fast, have a very fast wing speed and flit so I am always pleased when I walk away with captures of them.
